Technology Everywhere

August 31st, 2009 · No Comments · Blog

Technology is everywhere!
When I was in high school we took Key Punch classes.
In 1993 Erika and Lyle gave us a hand me down computer, I have been hooked ever since.  First just playing games, then on AOL and now I make a living (meager yes, but still) by being on the computer over 10 hours [...]

Sad – UPDATED

August 30th, 2009 · 4 Comments · Blog

Baseball was a huge part of Adam’s growing up time.  It was also something that he and I bonded over.  I enjoyed spending the day at the ball field watching he and his friends and other peoples kids play as much as he did (somedays even more).
Since the age of 5 he played ball in [...]

Burning Up

August 30th, 2009 · 1 Comment · Blog

Not only have we had record setting heat but we are being engulfed in flames.
Well, not literally but yeah, pretty close.  The Station/La Canada fire started on Wednesday.  I twittered out that I was smelling smoke in Glendale and my friends responded that it was from the Azusa fire that had started the day before.  [...]

August 28th, 2009 · 2 Comments · Blog, Kitchen

want to, because it is VERY rich.
Ingredients:
1 box chocolate cake mix (any chocolate)
4 eggs
2 sticks of butter (melted seperately)
1 8 oz package of [...]

Boring and Depressing

August 24th, 2009 · 3 Comments · Blog

I haven’t written much personal stuff lately, because everything personal has either been extremely boring or extremely depressing.
I haven’t worked a show since mid-July, so the coiffers are bone dry.  Dry to the point that my bank has closed my checking account because it was overdrawn for an extended period of time.  Although a princess [...]

Dive Olly Dive – Ship Shape Sub

August 24th, 2009 · 1 Comment · Blog, Reviews

When Jackson watched this one, he declared it “dumb and girlie”.  oooookay I thought, I will take it home and let Caitlyn watch it, she is 2 years younger than him (therefore dumber by his standards I am sure) and lo and behold a Girl.
When I first put it in for Cait she said, no, [...]

Bandslam

Had I realized Vanessa Hudgens was in this film, I may have stayed away.  I am glad I didn’t.
The theater was filled with all ages from young wannabe teenagers to people older than myself.  I think I can speak for all of them when I say that it was enjoyed by everyone, the resounding [...]

The Goods

August 23rd, 2009 · 2 Comments · Blog, Screening Room

I didn’t know I like Jeremy Piven.  I have never seen Entourage or anything else he has been in as far as I can recall.  I didn’t even think I would like this movie when I saw the preview.  But like it I did.
Piven is a funny guy, without being overly stupid to get [...]

Time Traveler’s Wife

August 23rd, 2009 · 3 Comments · Blog, Screening Room

Early disclaimer, I have never read this book.  This has surprised many people, but honestly, I have never herd o this book until I saw the preview for the movie.  Based on the preview, I actually didn’t have much desire to even see the movie.  But Agnes and her daughter were going and invited [...]
