I was corrected yesterday, that 12/29 is not the anniversary of mom’s death. That she died at 12:01 AM on 12/30.
Yes, that is true, today is the anniversary, but yesterday that was the worst day.
Because as of 12:01AM 12/30/07, mom was pain free and hugging Karl and Matt.
But from the morning of 12/29/07 my sisters [...]

How do you measure time?
2 years
24 months
104 weeks
731 days
17,520 minutes
1,051,200 seconds
They go by in the blink of an eye.
Except for today
This one day each year
This day goes on forever.
I miss you mommy.

I’m wondering if I have gone too public with this blog.
Is it no longer a place where I can speak freely and openly.
Is it not the proper forum to say things like, neither of my children thought to get me a gift for Christmas. Or that my daughter once again yelled at me for doing [...]

Caitlyn’s Class

This is one of many performances from Caitlyn’s Holiday party at preschool. Here they start in Armenian and then transition to English and then to Spanish. If the teacher didn’t give a road map you could hardly notice the transition at all.
Happy Holidays everyone!

Surprised? I know some who first found out I would be reading and reviewing this book were. But why are they surprised? I enjoy biographies, especially auto-biographies. Why should I not read this one? Because we differ in most of our political views? Sorry, my life does not revolve around my [...]

Yes, I have too much time on my hands. Let’s get that out of the way right from the start. I wish I didn’t have all this time, and I probably could be a bit more proactive with this time, but nevertheless, it is what it is.
I have developed an addiction of sorts to Farmville [...]

This is a guest review by Brett aka Amtrekker. Brett spent all of last year travelling around the US. I offered him a night on our couch while in the LA area, but he must have got a better offer. I asked him to do this review when I saw his Facebook status with his [...]

I spent time on this trip with almost every member of my family that lives out that way and even some who don’t.

Obviously I stayed with Gretchen and Gordon (who fed me like I have never been fed before) for most of the time, spending a week down in Mishawaka with [...]

This post was written on 12/16 as I sat waiting in Minneapolis on a 3 hour layover.
All throughout everyday I have blog ideas running through my head, I sometimes even compose them precisely in my head at that moment.
But now, when I am sitting in an airport with another hour and a half to spare, [...]
