Delivery Man

image005There is a new movie coming out November 22 (Caitlyn’s birthday) called Delivery Man.  In it Vince Vaughn plays an affable underachiever looking for his purpose in life, when he finds out he’s fathered 533 children through anonymous donations to a fertility clinic 20 years ago. Now he must decide whether or not to come forward when 142 of them want to meet their biological father.

Uh, yeah.  To say this hits close to home may be a slight exaggeration but then again maybe not.

Without digging too deeply in to details (because I don’t think I can right now), I am facing the same issue.  The son I gave up for adoption 22 years ago has expressed interest in meeting.

So yeah.

Vince Vaughn goes through the movie surriptitiously meeting his “kids” and impacting their lives.  Is this realistic?  Who knows.  Whose reality is real?

I don’t know what I am going to do in my reality, sometimes I wish my life were a movie so I could sit back relax and watch what happens.

In the meantime, you can sit back, relax and watch this trailer.

  1. Angela Bishop says:

I think it would be pretty amazing to meet a child after 22 years and see how they turned out, but I can see how it could also be very painful and bring up a lot of bad memories. Good luck in whatever you decide!

  2. I’m dying to see how this movie turns out!

  3. This movie looks totally cute!!

  4. Desiree Eaglin says:

You’re going to meet him. I’ll go with you. It’ll be great.
