Having Tivo has given Kathy and I an advantage over where Caitlyn likes to relax and watch TV in the evening. She knows that in my room she can watch Handy Manny, Ni Hao Kai Lan and Wow Wow Wubzy. In Kathy’s room it is 64 Zoo Lane and Little Bear to her heart’s delight. I am about to lose my Tivo contract (costs too much for my budget right now) so I have been flipping around with our Charter Digital Cable and noticed that the On Demand section has kids shows as well as movies. Not only that but I found an episode of a new sitcom that I had missed as well – Score! There are over 6,000 movies and shows to watch anytime you want. No waiting, no schedules. Who knew? The best part? THEY ARE FREE! They also have seasonal episodes, like Blue’s Halloween, Miss Spider’s Scary Party. I can’t wait to see what Christmas cartoons we can watch together.
Now, don’t get me wrong, it is not like I am advocating for plopping a child in front of the TV, but when they do watch, isn’t it better to watch something you both can tolerate and on YOUR schedule not some TV programmer’s? I think so.
If you have Carter digital cable you can learn more at charter.net/ondemand. You can alsoget updates and fun extras on Charter’s Facebook page and of course follow them on Twitter too!
