Diaper Pods

An innovative new way to dispose of disposable diapers.  I received prototypes for this product and tested it out on the twins over the weekend. As you will see in the video below, there is a small plastic bag nestled in the bottom of the diaper.  Neither twin noticed this addition of “bulk” in their bottom, which was my initial concern.  When the diapers first arrived I couldn’t figure out how to open the back to get the bag out.  thankfully I played with it first and figured out an easy way to split the back open before I had to do it “in the trenches”.  When it came time for a change I very simply did my business as usual then split open the bag pulled out the bag and dropped the diaper in.  Easy peasey.  I don’t know if I would be willing to pay extra for this convenience since diaper prices are already through the roof, but I can definitely see the positives of keeping a stack of these in the car for travelling or just on the go when you don’t want to leave a dirty diaper in a trash can without a bag.

Check out the video and if you think this idea is innovative enough please go and vote for it in the Walmart – Get on the Shelf contest.  Walmart is looking for new products and asking it’s consumers to vote for which ones they would like to see being sold at their stores.  I think this could be a winner.  http://www.getontheshelf.com/product/546/Diaperpods

  1. That is about the silliest thing I have ever seen. Unless that was the cheapest diaper in the store I would not look twice at it.

  2. That was awesome!! My kids screamed with cheers when the bag came out!!

  3. That video is hilarious and the sounds effects are funny. I carry a super convenient roll of diaper bags, I’m not sure how having the bag shoved inside the diaper is any more convenient than that however. Sounds interesting though!
