In about 48 hours I will be touching down the landing gear at DTW.

I am going home.  I have lived outside of Michigan for more than half of my life now, but every time I go back it feels like going home.

I won’t lie, it is a different feeling now, knowing that mom won’t be there but I deal with that as we all must.

Get ready for posts talking about a High School Reunion, a niece’s new house, our annual gambling foray up to the Sioux, time in South Bend and a trip to Frankenmuth, and good old family fun.

I’m getting excited.
