Salad platter

I am not only a picky eater I am particular as well.  No, they are not the same thing, in fact they are entirely different distinctions.

As a picky eater I am hesitant to try new things, I know what I like and I like what I want.

As a particular eater, even the things I like can be difficult to eat at times.  Take onions, I love the flavor of onions but the texture makes me gag.  Same with lettuce, it is pretty much just crunchy tasteless water, and water should not crunch (I live in LA, so actually sometimes our tap water does crunch), that confuses my senses and I just can’t eat it.  I am very particular about texture.  It is the main reason I don’t eat many fruits or vegetables.  One more example for you, strawberries.  I can eat strawberry flavored anything (well, almost anything) and I can have the scent of strawberries wafting in my nostrils all day everyday, but to bite into one, with the seeds on the outside and the slimy feeling of the inside, excuse me while I retch.

Ergo, I never eat any kind of salad.  When we go on cruises, I ask for a plate of tomato slices as a substitute to the salad course.  I know it would be better for me to eat the salad, I know that I would actually enjoy the taste of most of it, but I also have myself convinced that I can’t get past the textures in order to enjoy the taste.

To help solve my lack of fiber and vegetables problem I have come across a way to get an entire salad in one revolutionary pill.  Wouldn’t that be fantabulous?  I would try this in a heartbeat.  I don’t know about the FDA rating or approval yet, but it is a chance I would be willing to take.

Here are just some of the ingredients and benefits:

# 100mg of Vegetable Complex derived from broccoli, celery, parsley, cauliflower, carrots, spinach and other raw vegetables and greens.

# Raspberry juice extract, Enzyme Complex, grape seed extract, kelp, psyllium husk, barley grass and wheat grass.

# 100% or more of the daily recommended allowances for Vitamins A, C, E, B-1, D, B-2 and B-6

I hope this isn’t “too good to be true”.
