Not too long ago, (I know I have memory issues) I told you all about Web Hosting Geeks and how they would help you find the best web host for you and your blog.
I am here today to remind you of that. Just in case you too have memory issues.
Now some of you may be saying to yourselves “What is web hosting anyways?”
As defined by Wikipedia:
A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to make their own website accessible via the World Wide Web. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server they own or lease for use by their clients as well as providing Internet connectivity, typically in a data center. Web hosts can also provide data center space and connectivity to the Internet for servers they do not own to be located in their data center, called colocation.
Yeah, it doesn’t make sense to me either I know that in order for me to have this here fancy schmancy new blog of mine, I got a web host. Who is it? I have no idea. I was told at one point, and I am sure when the bill comes to renew it next year I will remember then (memory issues ring a bell?).
On their blog, the Web Hosting Geeks talk about many things, such as Domain Names. This article on How Search Friendly is Your Domain Name? was particularly interesting. If you are in need of SEO help, I would recommend checking them out for sure.
