When the kids were younger I spent hours and hours in the car. Taking Adam to baseball practices and games, and Marisa to Girl Scout events (although admittedly Kathy did the majority of the Girl Scout events, bless her heart). Thank goodness Marisa always loved reading maps. You see, my kids were small back in the olden days before GPS. We simply found where we wanted to go in the Thomas Guide and Marisa navigated me there. She was my GPS.
When I got my first GPS, my Maggie (you remember, the one those heartless thieves stole out of my car in broad daylight!), I fell in love immediately. I could tell her where to go and she would get me there and without any attitude or deciding she was tired and didn’t want to anymore, or losing her place on the map and directing us somewhere else. Not that Marisa ever did any of those things, ahem.
Now GPS are so sopohisticated you can just go to www.updateyourmap.com update your system with the latest street changes or closures.
Plus on www.updateyourmap.com you can make sure you have the latest addresses. Isn’t it a pain in the neck to find out a business has moved WHEN YOU GET THERE? Now, you can have everything updated in your GPS ready to go.
