Treasure Trove Indeed

IMG_0383Caitlyn and I attended the DIsney on Ice Treasure Trove performance last week and I can’t begin to explain how much she loved it.  All of her favorite characters, especially the “handsome princes” were in attendance and at one point Prince Charming pointed and waved to her.  Swoon!

We sang along, we danced in the aisle and we had an amazing time.

Caitlyn enjoys watching tv episodes of Disney shows on my phone when we are in the car, at a restaurant or even just hanging out at the house.  Now Disney Junior has expanded their i-experiences……

An expansion of the groundbreaking “Disney Junior Appisodes” app for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch was announced today following the success of the multi-award winning “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Road Rally Appisode,” the first TV “appisode” app for kids that combines viewing and interaction with the TV characters and stories they love. Prelude to Work

I am sitting in a hotel in reno, lamenting the fact tht I forgot my allergy medicine, and settling myself in to my clean air room to get some work done.

Heads up.  There will be press releases in your near future.  I have over 75 emails to go through that date back over a month.  I won’t innundate you with all of them, but some I feel are important (obviously not important enough to take care of a month a go blergh) and should be shared with you.

Why am I in Reno you ask?  The National Roller Skating Association Convention.  I shit you not.  Every single year, rink owners and operators from all over the country gaather and this year, DOminic asked me and Chris to join him.

So far we have attended a Life Member recognition dinner and today there is a National Museum Board Meeting (yes there is an entire museum dedicated to roller skating in Lincoln, NE. and Dominic is a big part of it) at 3 that I don’t have to go to.  But the rest of the week will be busy with educational conferences and the trade show.  It is nice to be on the other side of the trade show counter again.

So settle yourself in and relax, and enjoy the press releases in the week ahead, or don’t and scroll right past them.  I won’t be offended.

Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant has been a favorite family destination for Mother’s Day for over 70 years and this year they are offering moms free admission to Knott’s Berry Farm with their brunch purchase.

This year Knott’s Mother’s Day Brunch will be offered at Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant, Spurs Chophouse and Wilderness Dance Hall all of which will include all of mom’s favorites including a breakfast station featuring made to order omelets, Belgium waffles, and cheese blintzes with Boysenberry sauce.  The carving station will be presenting roasted turkey, honey glazed ham, and prime rib carved to order.  Hot buffet items will include filet of salmon, sweet hickory pork ribs, old fashioned apple stuffing, cheese enchiladas, vegetarian lasagna and of course, Mrs. Knott’s famous fried chicken.  Knott’s Mother’s Day Brunch also includes unlimited champagne.

Prom

This weekend I will be attending Prom, not really.  But I will be attending an event with Macy’s at the Costa Mesa store showing all the latest Prom fashions and trends.

Special guest and online fashion guru Mr. Kate will be on site to host the event and style the models as well as lend fashion tips to the audience.

It has been 28 years since I went to prom and quite a few since my kids did, but it is still fun to see what kids nowadays are wearing.  Boy that makes me sound old!
