Caitlyn enjoys watching tv episodes of Disney shows on my phone when we are in the car, at a restaurant or even just hanging out at the house.  Now Disney Junior has expanded their i-experiences……

An expansion of the groundbreaking “Disney Junior Appisodes” app for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch was announced today following the success of the multi-award winning “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Road Rally Appisode,” the first TV “appisode” app for kids that combines viewing and interaction with the TV characters and stories they love. It can be found now in the App Store at: www.appstore.com/disneyjuniorappisodes

Developed by Disney/ABC Television Group’s Digital Media team, the new app offers true interactive viewing, allowing fans 2-7 to touch, tap, swipe, tilt, shake and talk their way through various fun-filled activities embedded into episodes of some of their favorite Disney Junior shows. The all-new “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse – Mickey and Donald Have a Farm Appisode” and the “Jake and the Never Land Pirates Appisode,” which features “Hide the Hideout” and “Captain Hook’s Hooks,” are available for $4.99.  A free download of the original “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Road Rally Appisode” is included. In the coming months, popular episodes of top rated shows “Doc Mc Stuffins,” “Sofia the First” and more “Jake and the Never Land Pirates” will also be available for download as appisodes.

With the launch of “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Road Rally Appisode” last year, Disney Junior introduced an innovative new way for kids to enjoy their favorite shows. Well received by both fans and the industry, the app topped iTunes charts for weeks – making it to #1 on the Overall Free list – and won the 2012 Mobile Excellence Award for Best Content Extension Made for Mobile, as well as the iKids award for Best Web/App Series.

“The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse appisode has been successful because it’s a natural extension of what kids are already doing in their daily lives,” said Lauren DeVillier, vice president of digital media for Disney Channels Worldwide. “Over 70% of households with kids have app-enabled devices in their homes. Touching, tapping and swiping are second nature to them. We are allowing kids to move the narrative of their favorite show forward by interacting with the characters, giving them the opportunity to take an active role in the story. Being able to do that with one of their favorite TV shows is really exciting for them. And from a content perspective, it gives our shows a whole new life on another platform.”

Over the past several years, the Disney/ABC Television Group has consistently launched innovative apps for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. Other notable DATG apps include WATCH Disney Channel, WATCH Disney Junior and WATCH Disney XD, all of which enable authenticated customers to access live streaming of linear channel feeds, as well as on demand episodes of popular shows, the ABC Family Player app, which also makes full ad supported episodes available, the ABC News app for iPad, and the Emmy Award-winning official Oscars app, which provided unique backstage viewing experiences for the 83rd, 84th, and 85th Academy Awards.

inifityEarlier this month (yes I am still playing catch up!), Disney Insider premiered a behind-the-scenes video of their all-new gaming initiative, Disney Infinity. In “Creating Disney Infinity,” the first in a series of videos leading up to the game’s release, Disney leaders and creatives from across the company including John Lasseter, Lee Unkrich and Avalanche Software’s John Blackburn open up about Disney Infinity’s origins and Disney’s heritage of storytelling, creativity and exploration.

Check out the video on Disney Insider today and remember to pre-order your copy of Disney Infinity now before it hits US stores on August 18!

I was privy to some of the games workings at an event earlier this year.  I recently replaced the Wii that the f**kers stole from me last year so I can’t wait to try it at home!

Finding Dory

doryIt is kind of a Disney themed weekend, but I am catching up on emails and there seem to have been a bunch of Disney press releases that I missed.  This one has me a little more excited than the others (although I am really looking forward to Planes!)

When Dory said “just keep swimming” in 2003’s Oscar®-winning film “Finding Nemo,” she could not have imagined what was in store for her (not that she could remember). Ellen DeGeneres, voice of the friendly-but-forgetful blue tang fish, revealed details today about Disney•Pixar’s “Finding Dory”—an all-new big-screen adventure diving into theaters on Nov. 25, 2015.

“I have waited for this day for a long, long, long, long, long, long time,” said DeGeneres. “I’m not mad it took this long. I know the people at Pixar were busy creating ‘Toy Story 16.’ But the time they took was worth it. The script is fantastic. And it has everything I loved about the first one: It’s got a lot of heart, it’s really funny, and the best part is—it’s got a lot more Dory.”

Director and Pixar veteran Andrew Stanton takes audiences back to the extraordinary underwater world created in the original film. “There is no Dory without Ellen,” said Stanton. “She won the hearts of moviegoers all over the world—not to mention our team here at Pixar. One thing we couldn’t stop thinking about was why she was all alone in the ocean on the day she met Marlin. In ‘Finding Dory,’ she will be reunited with her loved ones, learning a few things about the meaning of family along the way.”

According to Stanton, “Finding Dory” takes place about a year after the first film, and features returning favorites Marlin, Nemo and the Tank Gang, among others. Set in part along the California coastline, the story also welcomes a host of new characters, including a few who will prove to be a very important part of Dory’s life.

“Finding Nemo” won the 2003 Academy Award® for Best Animated Feature; the film was nominated for three additional Oscars® (Best Writing, Original Screenplay; Best Music, Original Score; Best Sound Editing). It was also nominated for a Golden Globe® Award for Best Motion Picture–Comedy or Musical. In 2008, the American Film Institute named “Finding Nemo” among the top 10 greatest animated films ever made. At the time of its release, “Finding Nemo” was the highest grossing G-rated movie of all time. It’s currently the fourth highest grossing animated film worldwide. The film has more than 16 million Likes on Facebook, and Dory—with more than 24 million—is the most Liked individual character from a Disney or Disney•Pixar film.

DeGeneres’ distinctive comic voice has resonated with audiences from her first stand-up comedy appearances through her work today on television, in film and in the literary world. Her syndicated talk show, “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” is in its 10th season and has earned 38 Daytime Emmy® Awards. DeGeneres has won 12 People’s Choice Awards and the Teen Choice Award for Choice Comedian for three consecutive years. Additionally, her show won two Genesis Awards and a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Talk Show Episode. For her unforgettable turn as Dory, DeGeneres was nominated for an MTV Movie Award for Best Comedic Performance.

Planes

planesAudiences worldwide are fastening their seatbelts as “Disney’s Planes” prepares to take off this summer. Joining Dane Cook, who provides the voice of Dusty, are Stacy Keach, Brad Garrett, Teri Hatcher, Cedric the Entertainer, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, John Cleese, Carlos Alazraqui, Priyanka Chopra, Gabriel Iglesias, Roger Craig Smith, Colin Cowherd, Sinbad, Oliver Kalkofe and Brent Musburger.

Adding some high-flying flair from a classic feature film are Anthony Edwards and Val Kilmer.

I missed the Cars craze, Adam was too old by then and the grands were not born yet.  I think Matthew is going to absolutely LOVE this one!

Inspired by the world of “Cars” and directed by Disneytoon Studios veteran and aviation enthusiast Klay Hall (“King of the Hill,” “The Simpsons”), “Disney’s Planes” is an action-packed 3D animated comedy adventure about Dusty’s dream of competing as a high-flying air racer—and his decidedly unfortunate fear of heights. The film takes off in theaters in 3D on Aug. 9, 2013.

  • Stacy Keach (“The Bourne Legacy,” Alexander Payne’s upcoming “Nebraska,” Robert Rodriguez’s and Frank Miller’s “Sin City: A Dame To Kill For”) provides the voice of Skipper, a reclusive old Navy Corsair who takes Dusty’s training to new heights.
  • Brad Garrett (“Everybody Loves Raymond,” “How to Live with Your Parents for the Rest of Your Life”) lends his voice to fuel truck Chug, Dusty’s buddy, coach and biggest fan.
  • Teri Hatcher (“Coraline,” ABC’s “Desperate Housewives”) brings life and charm to the say-it-like-it-is mechanic Dottie.
  • Cedric the Entertainer (“Barbershop,” “Larry Crowne, “Madagascar”) as Leadbottom, a puttering old biplane who has no time for Dusty’s far-fetched flights of fancy.
  • Julia Louis-Dreyfus (“Veep,” “The New Adventures of Old Christine,” “Seinfeld”) lends her voice to Rochelle, a tough and confident racer who is the pride of the Great White North.
  • John Cleese (TV’s “Whitney,” “A Fish Called Wanda”) is the voice of Bulldog, the oldest and arguably wisest racer on the circuit.
  • Carlos Alazraqui (James Garcia on Comedy Central’s “Reno 911”) brings to life the intensely charming El Chupacabra, a racer with more dramatic flair than is recommended at high altitudes.
  • Priyanka Chopra (“Barfi!”) voices the exotic, mysterious and ruthless Ishani, the reigning Pan-Asian champion from India.
  • Roger Craig Smith (Captain America in Disney XD’s “Marvel’s Avengers Assemble,” voice of Sonic The Hedgehog in “Wreck-It Ralph”) voices world champion racer Ripslinger—wings down, the biggest name in air racing—and he knows it.
  • Gabriel Iglesias (Comedy Central’s “Gabriel Iglesias Presents Stand-up Revolution”) provides the voices of both Ned and Zed, two not-so-sharp saboteurs who work for Ripslinger.
  • Val Kilmer (“Batman Forever,” “Top Gun”) provides the voice of Bravo, a member of the Jolly Wrenches and a fan of air racing.
  • Anthony Edwards (TV’s “Zero Hour,” “Top Gun”) is the voice of Echo, a member of the Jolly Wrenches and a fan of air racing.
  • Colin Cowherd (ESPN) gives play-by-play coverage as Colin Cowling, an affable blimp and an eye-in-the-sky reporter for the Racing Sports Network.
  • Sinbad (Comedy Central’s “Where U Been?”) brings to life Roper, an irascible race official pitty full of sly remarks and colorful commentary.
  • Oliver Kalkofe (“Neues vom Wixxer”) provides the voice of meek German minicar Franz and his brazen airborne alter ego Fliegenhosen.
  • Brent Musburger (ESPN, ABC Sports) brings Brent Mustangburger, the excitable 1964½ Ford Mustang sports broadcasting icon, back to the big screen.

ABOUT THE MOVIE

From above the world of “Cars” comes “Disney’s Planes,” an action-packed 3D animated comedy adventure featuring Dusty (voice of Dane Cook), a plane with dreams of competing as a high-flying air racer. But Dusty’s not exactly built for racing—and he happens to be afraid of heights. So he turns to a seasoned naval aviator who helps Dusty qualify to take on the defending champ of the race circuit. Dusty’s courage is put to the ultimate test as he aims to reach heights he never dreamed possible, giving a spellbound world the inspiration to soar. “Disney’s Planes” takes off in theaters on Aug. 9, 2013. Candy Crushers Anonymous

【APP遊戲】Candy Crush Saga (Photo credit: Albert.hsieh)

“Hi, my name is Adrienne, and I am a Candy Crush addict.”

“Welcome Adrienne.”

“I have been sober for 12 hours and am taking it one minute at a time.”

Candy Crush started out as a fun little game that hundreds of my face book friends were playing and I was getting multiple invitations to play every day.  I gave in and took the plunge.  It was simple, sort of like Bejeweled but with more additions to keep it interesting.

But, interesting comes at a price.  Yes, I have spent actual cash money on this damn game.  I am embarassed to say how much.  While at Disneyland and Legoland last week I maxed out my credit card (relax it is a VERY low amount) and that caused me to react like a crack addict begging her dealer for a front.

Because of Candy Crush I have over 100 emails that have not been answered.  I was beginning to sneak in games at work on both the computer and my phone.  I would play in the bathroom, in bed at night and the morning and anywhere I could.

I take great measures in my life to curb addictions.  I will hit my 20 year anniversary for quitting smoking next year.  I purposely do not drink alcohol.  I stick to ibuprofen for pain.  The only addiction I have not mastered is food.  When I realized the the time and yes money this “game” had claimed from my life I realized it was too much and I had to take back control.

I have deleted it from my phone and blocked it on face book.  My life is my own again.

See Dad Run

SEE_DAD_RUN_SEASON_1_GALLERY

Scott Baio, Chachi, my first “real” boyfriend was a dead ringer for him.  I should look Bryan up on face book.

This is a fairly new show where Scott plays a former television star, his role was america’s favorite dad, and now he is a stay at home dad to his three kids.

The usual hijinks occur each week with the normal kid problems, but I don’t find it “redone’.  I enjoy both Scott and Mark Curry, and all of the kids are cute and can even act (what a concept).

I just got a press release about the next episode and thought I would share with you.  If you watch let me know what you think.

“See Dad Get Janie Into Kindergarten” –

The Hobbs youngest child Janie (Bailey Michelle Brown) wants to start kindergarten. David (Scott Baio) submits an application and gets an unexpected visit at home from the school’s principal. Is he really ready to see his baby go off to school? Meanwhile Marcus (Mark Curry) wants to apply to be on a reality race around the world show and goes all in for the casting process.

Don’t miss this all-new episode of “See Dad Run” this Sunday April 14, at 8pm ET/PT on Nick at Nite.

“See Dad Run”  stars Scott Baio, Alanna Ubach (“Legally Blonde”), Mark Curry (“Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper”), Ryan Newman (“Zeke and Luther”),Jackson Brundage (“One Tree Hill”) and Bailey Michelle Brown.

The series is executive produced by Baio and comes from creators/executive producers Tina Albanese and Patrick Labyorteaux with executive producers Nat Bernstein and Mitchel Katlin serving as showrunners.  Eric Bischoff and Jason Hervey also serve as executive producers through their production company Bischoff Hervey Entertainment (BHE).
